All sizes at a glance

Sizes checked October 2026. Where a platform publishes a size, we use it. Where it does not (for example WhatsApp, and some profile photos), we use the figure most 2026 guides agree on and mark it “Guide”. Platforms change their layouts often, so check the help pages below before a big print or ad run.
Tips for crisp images
Export at the exact size
If you upload a bigger or odd-shaped file, the platform resizes and compresses it for you, and the result is often soft. Export at the pixel size in the guide and the app has less reason to touch it.
Keep text away from the edges
Grids, profile photos, buttons and captions cover parts of your image. Leave a margin of about 10% on all sides, and more at the top and bottom of Stories and Reels. Turn on the safe-zone overlay in the resizer to check.
Use 4:5 for feed posts
On Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, a 4:5 portrait image fills more of the phone screen than a square or landscape one. More space usually means more people stop to look.
Save in sRGB and compress sensibly
Phones and browsers expect sRGB colour. Other colour profiles can look dull once uploaded. Save photos as JPG at about 80 to 90% quality, and use PNG for graphics with small text. Google display ads must be under 150 KB, so keep them simple.
Plan the set, not just one post
Make your feed post, Story and thumbnail together so the campaign looks consistent. Use our campaign calendar to plan posts around key dates, and if you are running paid adverts in Nigeria, check the ARCON approval guide before they go live.
Image size FAQs
What is the best Instagram post size in 2027?
Use 1080 x 1350 pixels (4:5) for photos and carousels. It takes up the most room in the feed. Instagram also accepts 3:4 (1080 x 1440), which matches most phone cameras and the profile grid. Square 1080 x 1080 still works but looks smaller.
Why does Instagram crop my photo?
Instagram only shows shapes between 1.91:1 (wide) and 4:5 (tall) in the feed, so anything taller or wider gets cut. The profile grid then shows every post as a 3:4 rectangle, which trims a little from the sides of 4:5 posts and more from squares. Resize to 4:5 or 3:4 first and keep text away from the edges.
What size is a YouTube thumbnail?
1280 x 720 pixels (16:9) is the safe choice. YouTube now accepts up to 3840 x 2160 and needs at least 640 pixels wide. Use JPG or PNG. If you upload from your phone, keep it under 2 MB.
Is my image uploaded anywhere when I use the resizer?
No. The resizer runs entirely in your browser. Your photo is never sent to Crea8Hub or anyone else, and the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page loads. Close the tab and the image is gone.
What size should a TikTok video or photo be?
1080 x 1920 pixels (9:16), full screen and vertical. Keep text and logos out of the bottom fifth, where the caption sits, and away from the right edge, where the like and share buttons are.
What size is a LinkedIn banner?
Your personal profile banner is 1584 x 396 pixels (4:1), JPG or PNG, up to 8 MB. A company Page cover is wider: LinkedIn lists 4200 x 700 pixels (6:1), up to 3 MB. Keep text to the right, because your photo or logo covers the lower left.
